Hotel Suggestion please

Hoping to visit NY for a 5 day trip with my four daughters early September. Would like a room with 2 queen beds for them and a single room for me! Stayed in the Hilton Time Square last time. Very nice but probably a bit pricey this time for 2 rooms. Great location though. Would be great if the room rate included breakfast too.

Hopefully booking tickets to see Rent. Anyone know who the cast will be then?

Thanks for the help.

We stayed at the Residence Inn in Times Sq (just outside of busiest area) and loved it. A very good breakfast buffet was included, and breakfast area on 3rd floor was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Rooms have either 2 beds (think queens) or a king, plus pull out couch and full kitchen. Bigger than most NYC hotel rooms. We didn%26#39;t really use the kitchen, but frig was handy for drinks, and to make tea or coffee. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We also recently stayed at Renaissance Inn right in heart of TS, it was pricier and no breakfast. We really like convenience of having breakfast at hotel.

I would give the Embassy suites a try they have a 2 room suite.

I think the Afiinia group of hotels can work as well. 1871 house has apt style suites .This is a bedandbreakfast.

Yes the resience inn is another good choice.

Sorry - didn%26#39;t make myself clear. My daughters are 17,19, 23 and 25. Think they need a suite. When i phoned the Blakely I was told a 2 queen bedroom was only for 2 people (on Health and Safety grounds). The Residence Inn don%26#39;t seem to have suites. Any other ideas (with breakfast included) and near Time Square?

Thanks.

oops sorry! When I said I telephoned The Blakely, I meant Hotel Casablanca.

You also might check on renting a 2br apartment nightly. We%26#39;ve used apartments2book.com and were very happy. There are other websites that offer this type of accommodation as well. If you do a search you%26#39;ll find lots of info.

I have stayed at the Doubletree Suites Times Square and it could sleep 5-6, depending on if someone wanted to shre the sleeper sofa. We had 5 in the room. It had 2 queen beds in a bedroom and then a pull out sofa. I slept on that and it was great. I even had my own TV. THe bathroom was huge and had enstrances from both the bedroom and the living room. The hotels are getting pricier each year. Last year we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn TS and it was great and we are planning on staying again this year. I notcied another hotel the other day taht had large rooms but not close to TS but was rated #4 in NYC and it is the Affinia Dumont. I was almost convinced to stay there but my friend has Hilton points so we get a few nights free there!!

Have a great time!!

Am not certain what you mean in your later post when you indicate the Residence Inn doesn%26#39;t have suites - ALL of the rooms in this hotel are suites - go to the marriott.com website and you can see pics. Some of the Res Inns even have 2 BR suites; not sure if this one does.

I stay at the Courtyard Manhattan Midtown EAST - it is a little bit away from the craziness of Times Square, etc - but is still an easy walk to Rockefeller Center. Taxi%26#39;s are easy to get in this area, too. PJ Clarkes is right down the block (good food and atmoshere; not too pricey, esp for NY) - there is shopping, etc in the area. Rooms are very large by NY standards, and they do have a few suites. Breakfast is not included on a regular basis; but right now Marriott is running a special where it is. Rates are often slightly better than Times Sq properties.

If you go with any Mariott property, BE SURE to check as many websites as possible for rates - if you find a cheaper one; Marriott will match it. Read the rules under Best Rate Guarantee on marriott website first; then look.

Have a great time!

The ';suites'; at the Residence inn are all studios-ie one large room. But they%26#39;re called suites b/c they do have kitchens and a separate sitting area. I think what you want is a 1 bedroom suite and the Affinia Dumont is one of the few hotels I know with 2 QUEEN beds in the bedroom and a sofabed for 2 (probably queen) in the living room. They also should have regular guest rooms for you. It%26#39;s not in Times Square but not terribly far.

The Blakely is another option. They have 1 bedroom suites with 2 double beds and a daybed for 1 in the living room.

I think the Courtyard by Marriott Times Square south has some regular rooms with 2 queen beds and also perhaps the Hampton Inn Times Square north. But these are not suite hotels.

The Doubletree Guest Suites is all one bedroom suites but don%26#39;t know about 2 queen beds. They%26#39;ll have perhaps a king in the bedroom and a queen sofabed.
