Manhattan Lodgings

Has anyone used this site before for accomodation for New York,

If so please tell me any advice or opinions on them, as i am considering booking this type of accomodation rather than a hotel

Manhattan Lodgings

In NYC in June 2007 - had a terrible experience with Manhattan Lodgings- booked an apartment with a credit card deposit

Apartment totally dreadful- dirty, smelly, shabby (no handles on doors, mould on floor, broken tiles, bed held up with book!). Had to leave and book into a hotel.

Manhattan Lodgings didnt want to know about the complaint and couldnt be contacted in person

then they took all of the balance from the credit card- their small print conditions leave you no come back for complaint

Beware and dont give credit card details is my advice
