I would definitely recommend the Sherwood Inn. I know it is not a B%26amp;B but it is definitely and ';Inn';, not a hotel. Each room is unique, a little pricey but worth it. We stayed at the Hobbit Hollow a couple years ago, and I%26#39;m not sure if the same lady runs it, but she was very nosy into our conversations and then argumentative on top of it!! Didn%26#39;t seem like she enjoyed her job. Good luck!

Definitely Sherwood Inn or their other place, Packwood House. Very nice experience and they do provide a breakfast I think....at least, they use to. B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Skaneateles are $$ so might as well hit the Inn for a few extra bucks. Have also heard good things about Skaneateles Suites but that%26#39;s out of town a bit . Mirbeau is great too but $$$$$. Be sure to eat at Rosalie%26#39;s Cucina - fabulous. Blue Water Grill is good too for bistro fare.

I have never stayed there (we live nearby) but Lady of the Lake looks beautiful; it%26#39;s very centrally located and easy walking distance to the village.

Have had friends stay and be happy at Hummingbirds Home B %26amp; ;%26amp; B; it%26#39;s a little farther from the village.

We had our wedding in Skaneateles and we have stayed in many of the hotels %26amp; B%26amp;Bs.

Our top choice: The Sherwood Inn

2nd: The Village Inn (Run by the sherwood properties)

(Be sure to get the free brunch at the sherwood inn if you are staying at the sherwood, village inn, or packwood house)

3rd: The Benjamin Portor House $$$

We LOVE It there - You can rent a canoe or kyack from Skaneateles Hotel Boutique on Jordan St. (I think- its near Doug%26#39;s Fish Fry)

Dont forget to go behind the sherwood inn to get some stretch bread at the Patissere - It is such a darling place

Also the Krebs is famous in this town for 5 course meal and they have a casual bar upstairs

We enjoy taking a boat cruise on the Mid Lakes Navigation boat docked in town.

ENJOY!!
