Is this doable?

We were thinking of attending the Seaside Summer Concert on the evening of July 26 at Asser Levy/Seaside Park in Brooklyn. Earlier in the day we are doing the Party Shuttle Tour which finishes in Times Square about 3:30. Is it feasible to think of taking the subway to Grimaldi%26#39;s/Ice Cream Factory, then the subway to Brighton Beach for the concert. We want to be there in time to rent chairs. Not sure how late the concert goes but we were thinking of taking the subway back to High Street, getting off and walking back across the Brooklyn Bridge, then take the subway back to our B%26amp;b on 62nd street. Appreciate any thoughts/suggestions on this day%26#39;s itinary.

Is this doable?

I think this is too much for one day. By the time you finish the Party Shuttle it is 3:30 or so. DO you plan to head back to your B%26amp;B?

The subway ride to Coney Island is about 1 hour, the concert starts at 7:30, and if you want to be there in time for chair rental, etc, I would go there first. If you go to Grimaldi%26#39;s/Ice Cream first, it will start getting late and you will be rushing. Have a hot dog at Nathan%26#39;s instead, or maybe hit Totonno%26#39;s pizza in Coney Island, some of the best in the city, before you get to the concert site:

I would not walk the bridge on the way back, it will be late and you will be exhausted. Why not plan on visiting Brooklyn Heights, eating at Grimaldi%26#39;s/Bklyn Ice Cream and walking the bridge on another day? IMHO rushing around will make all of your activities less enjoyable.

Is this doable?

I%26#39;ve never been to the Seaside Summer Concerts, so I can%26#39;t help. But, perhaps you learned about the event from a web site? If you did, could they possibly list a start time for the concert, and a suggestion of when you need to get there?

A lot would also depend on whether there happens to be a line to get into Grimaldi%26#39;s that particular day.

I agree with you, NYCgirl, rushing around makes the activities less enjoyable. We love to walk and this days activities call for a lot of sitting so we thought it might feel good to have a chance to walk back across the bridge even if it is late. An hours subway ride does take a fair block of time and as Bettina points out there could be a line up at Grimaldi鈥檚. Will have to rethink this one. We are pretty flexible but going to Grimaldi鈥檚 and walking the bridge is something we really want to do. The concert sounded like something fun for the evening but the timing and distance may not work. Is the hour subway ride from Times Square or Grimaldi鈥檚?
