How much time should one allow for a trip to the Statue of Liberty, including tranportation to and from?

Depends on where you%26#39;re coming from and time of day you go. ;) Taking first ferry of the day is generally faster. Seems a shame to go through all the trouble of security etc. and not visit Ellis Island too (on same ferry and included). To do both, about 4-6 hrs.

Thanks. I wasn%26#39;t clear on the transportation comment. I did mean the Ferry. We%26#39;re staying at The Library Hotel.
