Pre Booking Shows

Have used TA for Las Vegas and it%26#39;s great. We are coming to NY in 2 weeks time for 7 days and staying at New York Sharaton Hotel %26amp; Towers. Would like to see Les Mis. and another of Chorus Line ,Spamalot or Xanadu - have we left it too late or will we be able to get tickets on arrival. Is our hotel near to theatre district.

This is our first NY visit . Many thanks for any information .

Pre Booking Shows

try broadwaybox.com or theartremania.com for discounted tickets.

Pre Booking Shows

You should have no trouble ordering discount tickets for those shows. I always use broadwaybox.com, which gives you the discount codes and directs you to the exclusive (secure) ticket agent sites. Have the tickets held at the box office, and you just need to arrive a few minues early and bring the same credit card you use to order the tickets. If you go to playbill.com, you can see seating charts for the theaters.

After you book your shows, you will want to make restaurant reservations if you plan to dine pre- or apres-theater in the theater district.

Agree you should have no problems with those shows. What you might want to do is get a good copy of the seating chart of each of the theaters, then PHONE and speak to a live person where you often wind up with better seats. You could also pick which show based on which one has the best seats when you want to go.

Your other option is to wait til you get here and take the discount codes directly to the box office to avoid the transaction fees.

I agree w/Bettina and nywhiz, especially about using the PHONE to talk with a live person. I%26#39;ve done just that and gotten some great seats just by asking about what was available.

And holding the tickets at the box office is my favorite option for last minute tickets, just make sure you have the credit card you booked the tickets with you - to confirm you are who you are.

Good luck on getting tickets to the shows you wanted.

Thanks for the Information - just what I wanted . Am I right to assume we are fairly near the theatre district . See you in two weeks

Yes, the Sheraton is actually at the north end of the theater district.

Can you recommend a show appropriate for a family with 11 and 14 year old that might have discount tickets available? We will be in NYC 7/26-7/30. thank you!
