Book stores?

Hello,

I was wondering if there were some used book stores in Saratoga Springs? I%26#39;ll be coming to the Lake George area in the 1st week of August and I%26#39;d like to buy some cool used books.

Let me also know about the stores that sell new books.

There is a Borders right on Broadway and I believe a used book store on either Caroline or Phila St (down hill just south of Broadway in center of town)

Thanks. Are these stores you mention easy to find for a tourist like me who doesn%26#39;t know the area too well? I mean, are they on some of the ';main'; streets?

Yes. Broadway is the main drag through town. The core shopping area is on and around Broadway. Borders is on the north side of Broadway, while the main side-street shopping (and also where the used book place is) is the south side.

If you don%26#39;t know ';Broadway'; is the main street, you obviously haven%26#39;t done much research on Saratoga. Not a problem- stop at the visitors center near Congress Park (also on Broadway) and they will help. They will also have a map you can use. I think you can also find those cartoonish-looking maps at many local vendors.

Note the town will be busy in August because it is thoroughbred racing season. Parking/driving can be tough in downtown. Find a place to park and walk around
