What about ';Cornelia Street Cafe'; Or ';Garage';? Both offer live music and good food. Check their websites for schedules.
Hop the L train one stop into Brooklyn and eat at the fabulous SEA restaurant. There%26#39;s one in Manhattan too, but do go to the one in Williamsburg. Here%26#39;s their web site. The link to a street map is on the top of the page, near the address.

I%26#39;d definitely recommend that you book a reservation, or dine early (6:00-6:30ish) to avoid the crowds.
