IWe are going to nyc this month for a special occasion and are undecided as to which one of these hotels to stay in. Have narrowed it down from trip advisor reviews to these two which both have (right now) available suites. We like nice hotels, good service, friendly surroundings, shopping, theater, good food, etc. Know they are in different locations, etc. Would just appreciate help with the decision making as we haven%26#39;t been to nyc for a while and want this to be special and not alot of havoc. Pretty much like things low-key with some style. HELP!!!!
London NYC vs. Giraffe Help Help Help
Sorry I can%26#39;t help with your query, but I noticed you posted an identical question less than 10 mins after this one. If you haven%26#39;t gotten a response to your question in a couple of hours and/or it has moved off the first page of the forum it%26#39;s better to %26#39;bump%26#39; up the original question, rather than posting duplicate questions - it saves confusion for everyone in the long run!
London NYC vs. Giraffe Help Help HelpDuh, sorry - I meant ';less than 10 mins BEFORE this one';!
I am giving an honest opinion. I would pick the Giraffe over the London. Some people think the London is hip cool what have it. I feel more like the review on the London that suggests ';The Ice Queen Barbie';. I honestly get a cold feeling from this place. This is just my personal opinion. I think the Giraffe is a more of a nice feel.
Thanks ever so much for your response---I sort of had a feeling that this might be the best choice, but really wanted someone%26#39;s honest opinion. I%26#39;ve read good reviews of both on tripadvisor, but it still helps to have a particular person%26#39;s viewpoint!!! Again, thanks.
Your welcome. I hope everthing works out for you!
I think the London is a MUCH more elegant hotel that%26#39;s within walking distance of all the theaters. The Giraffe is smaller, more intimate hotel in more of a neighborhood location, but you will need to travel for theater and shopping (good location for nice restaurants though). The Giraffe will be ';more low key'; and ';friendlier';-the kind of everybody knows my name place. The London will be better located for shopping and theater and more elegant. Assuming the price is the same, I%26#39;d pick the London.
Gosh, thanks for the info. Well, here we go again. . . I feel that I probably can%26#39;t go wrong with either location based on the two differing views. Either must be a pretty good hotel; maybe another couple of opinions will come in and I can continue to squirm. Again, thanks for your imput as far as shopping, theatre location, etc.---that does help.

Are you worried about being far away from things being at the Giraffe, I recall now your last question prior about getting a taxi??I think you need to weigh things out like this. Do you want modern and trendy or nice and causual. The both hotels are good and you will find New york to be pretty good in getting around. You will not be deserted by staying in the Giraffe. You will not have a bad time at the London. I think it all sums up to personal taste and price. The location is up to you. You will not be like in a desert with no place to go . If you stay in the Giraffe. The choice is yours. what ever you decide, be happy. If we can suggest something else to you let us know!
I love the Giraffe - staying there this weekend for the 4th time. My husband and I love it there. Great rooms, the staff is wonderful. yummy free breakfasts, great social in the lobby at 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday w/ wine, champagne. etc.
Responce to travelcrazy and tmoo66---you both are so sweet to recognize our insecurities---yes, I am a little concerned about being away from it all at the Giraffe, but it has such great reviews and I know taxis are available if we get too strung out by distances. Yes, to be happy when you%26#39;re traveling is of the utmost and with such super guidance from you all, we can%26#39;t be anything but!!! Again, many thanks, we are so appreciative.
