Clarion Hotel LGA Airport

Hi All,

I booked a sleep and fly package directly with the Clarion Hotel right across the street from LGA airport. We are only staying one night for an early flight. However, after reading the reviews of the hotel, I鈥檓 very concerned even though we are only staying for less than 12 hours. Any suggestions? Price is a concern. By the way, the park and fly package price I got was $199 with parking (while I鈥檓 away on the trip) and shuttle service to and from the airport.

We did the same thing - park/sleep/fly deal. When we got in to our room is was steaming HOT and we could not open the windows. We called the front desk and they changed our room immediately.

Just beware that the noise may stop you from sleeping, but overall I would do it again. The room was clean - the convenience of the shuttle and not having to worry about parking or traffic made it SO worthwhile!

Keep the curtains drawn too...everytime I saw a plane taking off I feared it was too low and would hit the hotel!

oh no, here we go again!!!!!

we stayed there in march for four days and it was fine with us. i didnt even notice the airport noise as we were near the front desk...well that and we usually didnt return to our room until dawn in a stupor due to massive birthday celebrating!!

seriously though, for the price and location, this place cant be beat. should you want to upgrade in the same location, there is a nice marriott and a crowne plaza just a few blocks down the road. both are very nice but are probably double the price.

if i remember correctly, i read an article here stating that LGA was closed after midnight, so you shouldnt have any noise at night.

please NYCWHIZ forgive me for commenting on this thread, but im sure you were just waiting for me to do so!!! LOL

my only complaint about this one was that the shuttle driver drove like a madman and was playing rap music very loudly...and for us the sun wasn%26#39;t even up yet, so I was hardly awake.

Oh...and the continental breakfast spread is not laid out until about 7:00 AM...which was after we left for the airport.

Otherwise - no problems with the room or otherwise - and it is easy on and off from GCP (Grand Central Parkway).
