I will be traveling to LG next week and I was wondering if I can get any feedback about what are the things to do with kids ages 6 %26amp; 7. We are staying at Diamond Cove, anyone stayed there? Also do they have any fun restaurants / or if you could recommend good ones nothing that expensive or fun ice cream places. All the help I would really appricate!

We go up just about every year. My kids are 9,7 and 4.
There%26#39;s a six flags park (Great escapes) that my kids love. It%26#39;s about 10 minutes past LG village. See if Diamond Cove has discount tickets; a lot of the places do. (I%26#39;ve never stayed there, though I%26#39;ve passed it and it looks nice!)
My 9 year old son INSISTS that we take a boat ride each year. Hit the website for the LG Steamboat company, or find it on the LG tourism site. We started with the Mini Ha Ha-- it%26#39;s a big paddlewheel boat and the kids all love it.
If they%26#39;re into history, Fort William Henry is right there in town.
There%26#39;s a rodeo on I think Weds and Saturday nights. We%26#39;ve never been to it; it%26#39;s on this year%26#39;s agenda.
There are free fireworks in town on Thursday nights. Anywhere near the fort is a good place to see them.
And there%26#39;s an ice cream parlor every 20 feet. My daughter has found true love in LG Village-- cotton candy flavored ice cream at at least 2 different places.
THere are tons of mini golf places, a water slide place, and the House of Frankenstein (my 2 older kids can now WALK past it w/o running in fear)
And in case you%26#39;re interested, there are GREAT outlets nearby.
How%26#39;s that for starters???

Thanks for the information, I will take full advantage of it.
