This is our first trip to Niagara. Please advise us if the drive from Boston is a good thing. We want to reach there by Friday night and then plan to come back to Boston on Sunday. Please tell us good budget hotel on the US side...

Depends on your budget %26amp; nof people.
The drive from Boston to NF is about 7 1/2 hrs non-stop.. add a few breaks and its gonna be more than 8 hours.. would you be able to take it? If you have more than 1 driver, it may not be tiring but it definitely is going to be a long drive.
If it%26#39;s just a couple of you, traveling by air would not be so expensive and you would save time too. But you have to think of a way to get to NF from Buffalo airport and back.
For budget hotels... u could check out choicehotels.com, travelodge/daysinn/super8(.com) in the NF area or even in Buffalo if u are traveling by car. Travelodge was close to NFSP (almost walkable).
