Looking for a ';Deal'; in New York City

We are traveling to New York city for a week in October...have not been there in years...looking for a nice hotel, big rooms (6%26#39;-8'; college basketball player from the 60%26#39;s) in the Mid-Town area...any suggestions as to what hotels would match our needs and be under $300 a night?

Try Radio City Apartments. Not sure of website but google it. They are reasonably priced and have several types of rooms. Not sure of the length of the bed. Would we know who you are if we followed sports in the 60%26#39;s?????I see the post is from KC--let%26#39;s see--maybe K-State or KU???

What are your dates of travel? Rates vary a lot from day-to-day, so a hotel under $300 one day may be way over it the next.
