Getting to the Cloisters and Grants tmb

thanks.

Getting to the Cloisters and Grants tmb

It took us 20 minutes to get from The Cloisters to Columbus Circle (add another 5mins if starting at Times Sq) but we took the bus in the opposite direction. The advantage of this is that you see parts of the city (Morningside and Washington Heights) which are different to lower Manhattan and the bus stops near Grants Tomb as well as very close to The Cloisters. Timings: Columbus Circle to Grants Tomb 30mins, Grants Tomb to The Cloisters 40mins.

hopstop.com is your friend. It gives times and directions. ;)

You can do both in one day. Take the A train to the 190th Street station and from there is is a 10 minute walk, up a hill, to the Cloisters. To get to Grant%26#39;s Tomb, from the Cloister you can take a bus or the train, By bus take the M4 to the stop closest to 122nd Street and Broadway. Walk west on 122nd St to Riverside Drive to the Tomb. By train take the A train to 168th street station and transfer to the 1 train. Get off at 125th Street and walk to 122nd and then west on 122nd St. to the Tomb.

And where would St. John the Divine fit in with all this?
