I am going to New York with my daughter in November. We are on a budget of 拢50stg per night. We like quirky accommodation but must be clean.
Tried East Village Bed %26amp; Coffee, but unfortunately no availability.
Open to suggestions, please. 1st visit to NY.

I could not read the rate was that $ amount was?
I would checkout bedandbreakfast.com . Some good bedandbreakfasts are Chelsea lodge, Jack and Judys, Second home . Post back!

Tammy, that%26#39;s 50 Pounds, or $100. Majenta, I%26#39;m afraid that%26#39;s not going to be easy, especially in November. There might be some bargains around in January-February, or low season. But November and December are very expensive. Even budget places that normally go for around $200 a night will be charging (and getting!) $400-$500.
Thanks Bettina.
I think you can try a hostel like Central park hostel or maybe look for a bedandbreakfast in Queens like Gloria%26#39;s or Connie%26#39;s . You will have to travel if staying in Queens.
Thankyou tmoo %26amp; Bettina. We will have to think again.
There are some hostels with private room but shared bathroom. %26gt;The Vanderbilt and Westside YMCA%26#39;s have them.
%26gt;Big Apple Hostel
The Larchmont Hotel with shared baths is worth checking

If you%26#39;re staying at least 3 days and your daughter is old enough, you might be able to find a room at one of the women%26#39;s residences. Scroll down to the next to the last section on this page

I recently stayed at the Herald Square Hotel on 31st Street. They have some ensuite double rooms for $109 per night, but they book up well in advance. The single room I had was very clean.
Try Second Home on Second Avenue, in the East Village. Just stayed there 5 nights and loved it. Shared bathroom was not a problem, as it was only shared with 1 other room. Excellent location, with bus stop right in front of the inn, and subway 2 blocks away. Also has a shared kitchen, which was great and saved us some money. I would highly recommend it.
